My Approach
Collaboration:
I spent time with the business owner, observing her making her product and hearing her tell the background of her business in order to get a sense of her tone and attitude.

Mock-ups:
I created and presented 3 website designs to the business owner. Each option featured different layouts, colors, images, and interactive components.

Iteration:
Taking the business owner's feedback from the mock-ups, I combined design elements into a working website.
User Testing:
I recruited participants to use the prototype website and collected their feedback through a survey tool I designed.
Published Website:
After user testing, I addressed noted pain points to improve user experience before publishing the website with the owner's permission.
Actions
I designed the website to visually communicate the rustic-chic brand identity by incorporating consistent colors and images.
I wrote the content on every page, including microcopies, imitating the owner's warm and folksy tone.

For each feature in the site, I considered the user's journey by laying out the content in a logical, clear way.
